Wonderfully simple and two dimensional, this graphic stylised Dove Weathervane is in genuine, “as found” original condition. Bearing traces of historic paint and gilding, the surface is weathered and pitted, which is what we like to see on working vanes of this type. There is a timeless naive quality to the form and nature of this example that is at once honest and appealing.
